Jacqueline O'Donovan OBE – Keynote Speaker

Jacqueline O’Donovan OBE is a renowned trail blazing businesswoman with expertise in multiple areas of business including; recycling, logistics, transport, safety, construction and demolition.

Twice named Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors, Jacqui’s plethora of awards include PwC Private Businesswoman of the Year, Growing Business Awards Entrepreneur of the Year, and National Finalist EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Jacqueline passionately advocates for excellence in sustainability, diversity, health and safety, pioneering new improved standards. A well-known international speaker, Jacqueline has regularly appeared on the BBC, ITN and RTE.

As a 19-years-old, Jacqui took on her late father’s waste management business. Having grown the business to become a world leader, and winning multiple business awards, Jacqui exited the business to private equity in January 2024. With a story of overcoming huge obstacles in a male dominated industry and many other issues – her story is inspirational.

Jacqueline has a Master’s Degree in Demolition Management, and has studied with the Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) at the University of Cambridge.

A dedicated philanthropist, Jacqueline has been honoured by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, with a Presidential Distinguished Service Award.
