Expeditions have taken Mark to over 130 nations & territories, making documentaries over 15 years for the BBC, GCN & CNN, as well as publishing 5 books. His epic documentaries have taken viewers to over 100 countries, into the Arctic, the high mountains and around the Commonwealth, also surviving to capsize in the mid-Atlantic as he captures attention both mountaineering and ocean rowing. Beaumont was awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen’s New Year’s honours for contributions to sport and charity.
In August 2021, Mark won the GBduro 2021 race, a self-supported bikepacking enduro competition from Land’s End to John O’Groats on road, gravel and single-track. He finished the 2000km journey in 135 hours and 24 minutes.
