Dr Josephine Perry is a Chartered Sport Psychologist whose purpose is to help people accomplish more than they had previously believed possible. She integrates expertise in sport psychology and communications to support athletes, stage performers and business leaders to develop the approaches, mental skills and strategies which will help them achieve their ambitions. Josephine has worked with athletes across 29 different sports and a whole range of professions (including the Military, Police, C-Suite execs, DJs, Actors, Dancers and some of the world’s best Sommeliers – you’ll learn when you hear her speak why this group requires support) and loves to delve into new sectors, understanding their unique challenges.
Josephine has published six books including Performing under Pressure, The 10 Pillars of Success, I Can: The Teenage Athlete’s Guide to Mental Fitness and ADHD in Sport: Strategies for Success.
In her speeches Josephine is able to draw upon her academic background (she has three Masters degrees and a PhD) to utilise a strong evidence-base but also uses her work as a practicing sport psychologist to add the stories that bring the research to life. She can talk about the challenges that we all face when trying to perform at a high level. Josephine is able to explain the neuroscience of the threat system with clarity, show the audience ways to soothe it and share the tools that exceptional performers have learnt in order to keep the threat system calm and performance unhindered. Using the BE BRAVE acronym audiences will leave with a clear route to handling their worries and being better able to perform under pressure.
