Jim Hagemann Snabe is a globally recognised business leader, board chairman and advisor, known for his work at the intersection of leadership, digital transformation, innovation and decarbonisation.
He is currently Chairman of Siemens AG and serves as a board member of Temasek and C3.ai. Jim is also a Member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum, a member of the Global Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank, the International Advisory Board of Allianz, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Banking Circle.
Previously, Jim was Co-CEO of SAP AG (2010–2014), where he played a pivotal role in doubling the company’s value while strengthening SAP’s commitment to responsible leadership and societal impact. During his tenure, he and co-CEO Bill McDermott were ranked #2 on Glassdoor’s list of the world’s highest-rated CEOs, based on a 99% employee approval rating. He has also held several major chair and vice-chair roles, including Chairman of A.P. Moller-Maersk (2017–2022), Vice Chairman of Allianz SE (2014–2021), and Chairman of Northvolt AB (2022–2024).
With more than 25 years of experience in the IT and industrial sectors, Jim focuses on how leaders can drive digitalisation, innovation and decarbonisation while ensuring that technology serves society. His leadership philosophy is shaped by a strong belief in human potential and the role of business in addressing global challenges.
Jim holds a master’s degree in Operational Research from Aarhus School of Business and was appointed Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School in 2016, based on his work on digital transformation and its impact on business and society.
