Carlo Purassanta – Keynote Speaker

Carlo Purassanta is an Investor and an Advisor, with a focus on the Tech industry. He currently is Executive Vice President at ION Group, in charge of Strategy and Growth. He is the author of the book “A Crucial Impetus”, in which he lays out the different paths to build a world in which technology benefits our civilization, as well as a plea for critical decisions to be urgently made that will permit countries and organizations to seize the future and be its actors. He has been the President of Microsoft France between September 2017 to June 2021, and had previously held the same role for Microsoft Italy for five years; he joined Microsoft in 2011 to lead the Consulting Business Unit, after 15 years of career in IBM France and EMEA.

During his tenure in Italy he has been a member of the General Council of Confindustria Digitale and President of the Workgroup on SMEs value chains, and has been in the Advisory Board of Confindustria’s Foreign Investors Committee with a responsibility on “Research, innovation and education”.

Carlo Purassanta currently is a Board Member of “Only The Brave” and “Diesel” in the fashion industry, he is Board Member at “Cedacri” in the Fintech industry, he is member of the Strategy Advisory Board of “MIP” the Business School of Politecnico di Milano, and member of the Investment Committee of the “French Touch Fund” focused on SMEs acceleration.

Mr. Purassanta holds a Engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano in Italy and a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School in the UK.
