Ted Souder has been witnessing history for the past 25 years as an early employee at groundbreaking companies like America Online & Google and in the boardroom at institutions such as 1871, the World’s #1 Private Business Incubator, and the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
One of Google’s earliest employees, Ted spent 20+ years helping write one of the greatest business stories of all time. From its origin as a fledgling Search engine trying to find its footing after the “dot com” crash in 2000 to becoming one of the largest and most important companies in the world, Google helped define an era. During his time at Google, Ted held many different leadership roles both in Chicago and in Paris, France, ultimately leading to his dual roles of the Founder of the Google CFO Forum and Head of Industry, Retail.
Now as an advisor to VC funds and start-up founders, Ted helps tomorrow’s leaders apply lessons straight from the Google Playbook in an effort to help them reach efficiency and scale as quickly as possible. Ted is also a part-owner of the Monthly Barometer based in Chamonix, France. The Monthly Barometer is a content platform and advisory boutique that provides its global community (comprised of prominent international decision- and opinion-makers) with high-quality macro analysis combined with in-person, global community gatherings that sit at the intersection of Economics, Geo-Politics, Environment, Technology & Society.
Ted’s vast, global experience gives him a unique perspective on how organizations and governments today can benefit from taking advantage of the opportunities that come from embracing digital change. Learn how Google uses “Objectives and Key Results” to help teams organize around the right strategies and tactics. Hear how the pandemic has impacted industries such as Retail and why this might turn out to be the beginning of a new golden era of innovation and job creation. Understand how the world’s top technology incubator was born out of one of the oldest chambers of commerce in the United States and how that can be replicated in your city.
