Olympic gold medallist Susannah Townsend MBE recently retired from playing professional hockey after representing Great Britain and England 188 times in 12 years. Sporting highlights include Olympic gold in Rio 2016, bronze in Tokyo 2021 and being part of the Team GB Hockey Leadership Team driving medal-winning performances at the Commonwealth Games and European Championships. Susannah is recognised for her role in the growth of women’s sport worldwide and in 2017 was awarded MBE for her contribution to sport.
She is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion and is in the UK’s Top 200 gay-rights influencers nationally.
