Biography

Nima Abu Wardeh is a leading authority on communication — helping experts, founders, and leaders turn visibility into traction by making the way they speak their ultimate competitive advantage.

With 30 years of real-world experience on global TV, billion-dollar business stages, and behind the scenes with multinationals, governments, and world-class institutions, Nima knows how to shape a message that cuts through noise, survives ruthless edits, and gets remembered – by the people who matter.

An award-winning former BBC World presenter [her programme beamed into 200+ million homes every week for 12 years], she didn’t just tell stories – she decided which ones stayed, and which ones got cut. What got airtime. What got traction. And what got buried. She shaped the narrative for millions. Now she teaches her clients how to do the same.

Her signature framework, The BRILLIANT Communicator, is used by global leaders, rising entrepreneurs, and C-suite execs to handle pressure moments with clarity and control, land a message that drives decisions, own the mic — and the room — in any high-stakes situation.
Nima has been invited to work with, host events for, and train leaders across governments, quasi-government institutions, and organisations such as Accenture, PwC, Boehringer Ingelheim, EY, CitiBank, and AccorHotels — to name a few.

In addition to decades on global TV and stages around the world — moderating, chairing, and speaking at high-profile events — Nima also wrote a monthly opinion piece for Forbes Arabia, and a long-running weekly column for the UAE’s flagship newspaper focused on money and life.

Nima has an MSc in Medical Engineering because she is deeply interested in the ‘human condition’ — specifically, how we make decisions, what our brain pays attention to, how to help it remember information, and how communication triggers emotional and cognitive response.

She brings decades of sharp, no-fluff expertise in behavioural economics, financial literacy (especially for women), and the intersection of money and everyday life. She also founded the grassroots initiative UAE Saves Week, which trended nationwide and change people’s lives.

Nima is known for delivering practical, “how do I do it?” takeaways — with a mission to help people share what they know in a way that gets buy-in and real results. She has shared stages with, developed, and interviewed icons, leaders, royalty, and experts running companies and countries.

"One of the most informative sessions I've ever attended" Ali Yasin
"I wanted to tell you that you were the most impressive “presenter” I have ever encountered (and, trust me, I encounter dozens of them every year in every country in the world). Normally, presenters give well crafted introductions of the speakers. They research their subjects and so on and so forth. But they don’t listen!!! You, on the other hand, paid attention to what was said, commented intelligently on the contributions, related the main ideas of two or more different speakers. In sum, you did an extraordinary job. And I am glad that I have the opportunity to tell you!" Xavier Sala-i-Martin, Leading global economist. Columbia University Professor
"Since 2010 Nima has been the go-to person for all media training requirements across multiple industries and clients. Nima has a unique way of extracting the right information from executives during the training session, and uses her knowledge and insight to help them improve their delivery and communication and style." Theodore Halabi. Media & Analyst Relations Lead, Accenture Middle East
