Experiencing a stellar HR career across some of the world’s biggest brands and latterly the Chief Learning Officer for British Airways, Nigel Jeremy is a globally recognised expert within the HR and Learning and Development profession. Nigel is a successful business author with a strong international reputation as a conference speaker in his fields of expertise. His speaking topics span all aspects of HR, with a particular focus on leadership, management and executive development, and the creation of employee-centric culture.

A globally recognised expert within the HR and Learning and Development profession, with experience spanning three decades, Nigel Jeremy has led the L&D and Recruitment functions for companies including British Airways, Marks and Spencer, HBOS, Vodafone and EasyJet.

Nigel Jeremy has developed a strong international reputation as a conference speaker in his fields of expertise, which spans all aspects of HR with a particular focus on leadership, management and executive development and the creation of employee-centric culture. He also speaks regularly around the issues of working across international cultures and generations in the workplace.

With an impressive track record in creating talent and performance cultures, Nigel’s presentations always find a way to make the complex issues of leadership and management psychology simple and practical in terms of deployment. You can expect a conversational, humorous style with plenty of tips and lessons learned from his time working across many sectors.

In 2009, Nigel moved to the lead the Learning, Recruitment and Organisation Development functions for Marks and Spencer plc. operating across 55 countries. During this time, M&S was voted most admired company for Attracting, Developing and Retaining Talent in 2012 (Management Today Awards).

In 2014, Nigel Jeremy joined British Airways as their Chief Learning Officer responsible for all learning, development and recruitment activity across this global business and iconic UK brand. British Airways employs over 40,000 people across 75 countries servicing the travel needs of some 45 million customers every year. During his five year tenure, BA achieved record levels of profitability and was named as the number 1 Consumer Superbrand from 2014 to 2018, securing the top position against 1,500 other brands vying for the prestigious title, and is the first airline to have received the award.

Nigel gained his BSc at the University of Manchester with First Class Honours. He is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Services, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds level B status with the British Psychological Society, and is a licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

His first book, ‘The Ten Management PEPs (Plain English Principles for Being a Great People Manager)’ was published in 2006 and has sold to a worldwide audience.
