Dr Mark van Rijmenam is The Digital Speaker. He thinks about how technology changes organisations and society. He is ‘The Digital Speaker’ and the author of three best-selling management books on big data, blockchain and AI. His latest book – The Organisation of Tomorrow – details how AI, blockchain and analytics turn your business into a data organization.
He is the founder of Datafloq, a leading content platform on emerging technologies. He recently founded Mavin, a tokenised ecosystem of tools to fight misinformation, bad bots and online trolls through crowdsourced trust, and is a founding board member of the 2Tokens Foundation in The Netherlands, developing a roadmap towards realising value from Tokenisation.
Mark van Rijmenam is the publisher of the ‘f(x) = ex‘ newsletter, read by thousands of executives, on the future of work and the organization of tomorrow. The Digital Speaker has spoken in 20 countries across the globe and collectively inspired over 100.000 managers, directors and C-level executives.
His (virtual) keynotes focus on the future of work, the digital employee and how to build the organisation of tomorrow using emerging technologies such as big data, blockchain, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. The Digital Speaker believes that every organisation is a data organisation, which brings massive opportunities but also comes with great responsibilities. In his talks, he discusses the importance of data security, data governance and data privacy to help organisations understand how to build a customer-centric business using emerging technologies.
The Digital Speaker’s (virtual) keynotes are targeted at organisations who understand they have to digitally transform their business, but who do not yet know where to start and want to learn how to remain competitive in a digital world. His presentations are perfectly suited as an inspirational opening keynote to give everyone a shared understanding of emerging technologies and how they will change the future of work and have an impact on the organisation of tomorrow. This will help set the scene for more in-depth keynotes and break-out sessions later during an event.
Any of The Digital Speaker’s keynotes are available as a virtual keynote, which will be recorded and live-streamed. There are multiple possibilities, standard webinars, virtual keynotes with professional recording, a keynote in virtual reality (which you audience can view in VR or behind their computer) or even using a hologram, thereby giving your audience a magical and futuristic experience. An avatar or hologram event can take place (at multiple locations at the same time) anywhere in the world, at any moment in any language.
Mark van Rijmenam holds a PhD in Management from the University of Technology in Sydney, where he did research how big data, blockchain and AI are changing organisations.
The organisation of tomorrow will look fundamentally different than today’s organisation. As we have seen due to Covid-19, the digital employee will become more important. Those enterprises that are aware of the upcoming changes can best prepare and achieve competitive advantage in a data-driven society. Consequently, the future of work will require management and employees to take a different approach when it comes to creating and delivering a product or service. The future of work will be defined by three concepts: data, decentralisation and automation that will radically change leadership, culture, privacy and security. In this keynote, Dr Van Rijmenam will share valuable insights around the future of work and how to build a competitive business.
We live in exponential times and simply having a digital strategy focused on continuous innovation is no longer enough to thrive in a constantly changing world. Black Swans such as Covid-19 disrupt your business. In order to transform an organisation and contribute to building a secure and rewarding networked society, collaboration among employees, customers, business units and even things is increasingly becoming key. In this keynote, Van Rijmenam will discuss how big data, blockchain and AI will change collaboration and in doing so enable a networked society.
We live in a world of accelerated change and disruptive innovations are challenging the status quo for organisations. The common denominator of all these innovations? They produce data, lots of it, which can be used to create magical experiences that were unthinkable before. In order to remain competitive, organisations need to put obtain a different perspective of their business and develop a culture of innovation.
Knowledge is a form of power and knowledge is derived from data. Having access to data has become a prerequisite in today’s world to remain competitive. Data and analytics enable you to sense and seize opportunities in the environment of your company and to take action accordingly. The global pandemic is a typical Black Swan that is changing the game forever. However, with sufficient data we could have been warned and taken action accordingly, on time. To do so, we need to democratize data, because when more people have access to information and knowledge, empowerment is a possibility, resulting in smarter and better decision-making. In this session, Dr Van Rijmenam will explain the importance of data on your organisation and your decision-making capabilities. He will discuss how leadership should change in this data-driven world, how data can be a catalyst for change and how data enables the rise of the digital employee.
We live in a world of accelerated change and Covid-19 is challenging the status quo for organisations. In addition, innovations are being developed faster and faster. The common denominator of all these innovations? They produce data, lots of it, which can be used to create magical experiences that were unthinkable before. In order to remain competitive, organisations need to put obtain a different perspective of their business and develop a culture of innovation. This culture of innovation requires leaders to ensure a mutual understanding of emerging technologies across the business. More than ever before, IT has become a critical capability to lead the way and CDO’s should actively push the envelope. In this session, Dr Van Rijmenam discusses how the CDO and CIO should challenge the status quo and challenge projects instigated by other departments to ensure the most optimal, flexible, secure and private technical solution is developed. At the same time, they should take the lead when it comes to innovation. IT moves from being in the back of the car to the driver’s seat.
