Laurence Winmill’s messages are delivered from his experience as an entrepreneur and business leader. A charismatic and inspirational speaker, his referencing includes managing people for peak performance, selling and negotiating in line with strategy, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Laurence’s C-suite roles in advertising, digital media, publishing, automotive and pharmaceuticals have been instrumental in driving growth. As an entrepreneur, he has created numerous startup projects, and has a critical understanding of markets, customers and strategy.

In 2001, Laurence left the corporate publishing world and after a spell in pharmaceuticals, set up a successful magazine publishing business. In 2010, he set up a full-service agency helping to develop media campaigns for retail, leisure, professional services, automotive and property brands.

In 2016, he became CEO for leading LCV dealership, David Spear Commercial Vehicles. Under his leadership, the business produced record sales growth of 30% and won several national awards, including the Auto Trader Digital Click Award for Independent Business Transformation and The Institute of Sales Management’s BESMA Award for Senior Leadership Team of the Year.

When Laurence left this role, he drew on his early experience in hospitality to set up numerous businesses. Yet within six months, Covid arrived and changed everything.

Representing one of the biggest challenges of his career, he now uses his expertise managing businesses against impossible odds to inform delegates. Laurence volunteers his time as a mentor too, providing support to startups. His career as a business consultant also helps organisations to build strategy for sustained success.

Laurence travels extensively as a keynote speaker. His ability to inspire audiences has resulted in collaborations with several international brands, including Unum, P&G, Kellogg’s, Dunelm and Armstrong. He also penned book ‘Live Your Life’, a simple guide to personal and business success.
In his spare time, he spends time with his family, is an avid Chelsea supporter and gym-goer, and enjoys walking and travelling.
