Josh Stinton helps organisations align their people and perform under pressure. A leading authority on growth mindset, his philosophy is simple – take an active role in the story of your own life. Drawing on unusual experiences – from extreme endurance challenges to Olympic ceremonies – Josh shows how high-performance principles apply to everyday leadership. His work helps teams move from passive participation to active ownership.
As The Charity Adventurer, Josh has raised money for children’s charities through a series of endurance challenges in which he learned a brand-new sport before competing in an elite event and sharing the lessons with audiences. These experiences form the foundation of his message: that individuals and teams achieve more when they take ownership, embrace challenge and align around a shared purpose.
In February 2026, Josh was selected to support the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies. He designed and delivered the motivational kickoff for more than 1,100 Games volunteers, helping align energy, pride and responsibility across the team ahead of the Opening Ceremony. Days later, inside the athlete compound at San Siro Stadium, he worked directly with 1,135 Olympic athletes moments before they stepped onto the world stage, helping channel focus, energy and composure before stepping onto the world stage. Following this work, he has been invited to contribute to future Olympic ceremonies. The same principles he applies with Olympic teams now help organisations align large workforces during moments of pressure, change and rapid growth.
Whether delivering a keynote or leading bespoke workshops, Josh helps organisations tackle complex cultural and leadership challenges. Much of his work focuses on helping teams align quickly, even when individuals must influence and communicate without formal authority.
Over the past 14 years Josh has delivered keynotes and leadership programmes across Europe, Australia and North America for organisations including KPMG, Novartis, EY, Grant Thornton, Stack Infrastructure, Qantas, Commonwealth Bank Australia, Techtonic Industries, Kaiser Permanente, Shibsted, Aker BP, Google and Norwegian Air.
Born in Colorado, Josh currently lives in Oslo.
Drawing on his Olympic experience, Josh shares practical models and mental readiness tools used to prepare both volunteers and elite athletes for defining moments. Audiences discover how to stay composed when the stakes are high, align quickly under pressure and transform anticipation into focused performance when it matters most.
How teams move from “default mode” into intentional design. Through practical tools and stories from global stages, he shows how organisations grow when individuals take responsibility beyond job titles, helping audiences understand how ownership, accountability and influence can develop at every level of an organisation.
Designed for professionals at every level, this session equips teams with the clarity and confidence to influence without hierarchy. Josh shares practical techniques for communicating clearly in high-pressure environments, overcoming imposter syndrome and reducing second-guessing, helping individuals increase their personal impact and contribute more effectively within high-performing teams.
