Inma Martinez is a technology and AI entrepreneur with a 25+ year career. She pioneered artificial intelligence in human behaviour and recommender systems, precision agriculture, and data governance for safe and trustworthy systems. An innovator behind transformative digital products and services for telecommunications, automotive, energy and financial services companies, she has also been a government advisor internationally since 2002. She currently leads the Safe and Trustworthy AI for Standardised Data Governance at the Global Partnership on AI, the G7+OECD initiative for AI policy. She also serves on the Board of SciTheWorld, pioneers of “Fractal”, the algorithmisation platform for financial services and credit government agencies.
Arising as one of the most dynamic voices for the need to develop human approaches to technology and the opportunity to make AI and digitization service-led competitive assets for progress and social welfare, she has been appointed to expert roles for both British and European government institutions in the crucial years when the European Digital Agenda was forged, participating in the formation of Big Data, GDPR and AI Directive policy initiatives, contributing to the drafting of national AI strategies. She is a long-time collaborator providing AI expertise to the United Nations Technology Office, UNESCO’s Global Forum on AI Ethics, and the G7/OECD Global Partnership on AI. In 2022, she was elected chair of the expert group (150+ AI scientists developing AI policy across Responsible AI, AI Innovation, and the Future of Work), contributing to Japan’s creation and concept of the Hiroshima Process for AI Safety.
Within the technology industry she has been recognised as a trusted expert by media outlets (FORTUNE, TIME, Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Economist), who regularly invite her to provide testimony on technology and geopolitical issues affecting the future of business sectors.
