Georgie Barrat is a technology journalist and consumer expert who’s spent her career unpacking how the latest innovations shape our everyday lives. She’s best known for presenting The Gadget Show and Shop Smart Save Money on Channel 5, as well as appearing as a regular contributor on BBC’s Morning Live. Georgie also frequently steps in to host live broadcasts of Jeremy Vine and Storm Huntley on Channel 5 and has worked across ITV Tonight and BBC’s Rip Off Britain.
A trusted voice on breaking tech stories, she regularly contributes to ITV News, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 5 Live, offering insights drawn from her first-hand experience with everything from AI and cutting-edge computing to enterprise data centres and cloud technologies. In 2024, she fronted an ITN Business programme exploring how digital tools are transforming education, spotlighting the fast-evolving world of EdTech. Beyond reviewing gadgets and apps, Georgie is fascinated by how technology is reshaping the way we live, work and what AI means for our future.
