Fredrik Haren has spent the last 25 years travelling the world to study human creativity. Known as The Creativity Explorer, he has delivered more than 2,000 speeches in over 75 countries across six continents, inspiring audiences from global CEOs and government leaders to entrepreneurs, educators, and schoolchildren.
Author of 11 books – including The Idea Book, listed among “The 100 Best Business Books of All Time” – Fredrik explores the power of ideas and the limitless potential of human imagination. His philosophy, “Humanity to the Power of Ideas,” captures his belief that creativity is the most powerful force for progress.
His latest book, The World of Creativity, was launched just before Christmas 2025, with Wiley Publishers. The book is the summary of what learning from creative people in 75 countries during the past 25 years has taught Fredrik about how we can discover our full creative potential.
Fredrik’s journey began with an early fascination for ideas, shaped by a family of teachers and entrepreneurs. He went on to co-found and grow a successful Internet consultancy before devoting his career to understanding and speaking on creativity. Along the way, he has faced challenges and setbacks, which he openly shares to connect authentically with audiences.
Fredrik has been inducted in “Speaker Hall of Fame” on two continents. He is a CSP as well as Global Speaking Fellow. He is a recipient of “TIA”, given by The Global Speakers Federation and considered the highest award in the international speaking community.
