Biography

From March 1, 2022, Fiona Reynolds has held the position of CEO of Conexus Financial. Conexus is Australia’s largest independent financial industry media company, working across investments, superannuation, and financial planning. It also has one international masthead – TOP1000 funds which covers asset owners and looks at all issues to do with investment and sustainability. Its role is to act as a Catalyst for Change and to hold the finance sector to account for its actions.

In additional she is on the board of Frontier Investment Advisor and the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative and Climate Catalyst. She is on the Advisory Boards of Affirmative Investment Consulting based in London, and Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners. She is also on the ESG Advisory Board for PWC, and for the multinational company BASF, and the Global Steering Committee of Finance Against Slavery and Modern Trafficking.

Before return to Australia in 20222, Fiona Reynolds served as the CEO of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) for over nine years. The PRI is a UN supported Organisation as the largest organisation for Responsible Investment in the world. It has over 5,000 members and represents investors with more that $150 trillion US in assets under management.

As part of her global role at the PRI, she was on the board of a number of organisations including the global board of the UN Global Compact, Climate Action 100+, the UK Green Finance Institute, the Greening the Belt and Road Global Committee, and the Asset Owners Net Zero Alliance and the UN Business for Business for Peace Global Steering Committee.

In 2020 she chaired a global commission, of which the United Nations University was the secretariat into Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking and the role of the Finance Sector.

Fiona has 25 years’ experience in the financial services and pension sector. She joined the PRI from the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST), where she spent seven years as CEO and prior to this was in an executive officer role.

Fiona Reynolds was named one of the 20 most influential people in sustainability globally by Barron’s magazine and has twice been named one of Australia’s one hundred women of influence by the Australian Financial Review.
