She became known worldwide as the whistle-blower in Netflix’s record-breaking documentary The Tinder Swindler – the most watched documentary of all time – where she bravely exposed the mechanics of romance fraud and the systemic failures that allow it to thrive.
With a background in digital experience design, Cecilie combines her lived experience with professional expertise in technology, psychology, and trust. She has become a sought-after advisor to companies, financial institutions, and policymakers, helping them design more human-centered systems that protect users from deception and abuse.
Cecilie is the co-founder of LoveSaid, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims of romance fraud through peer support, mental-health resources, and advocacy for systemic change.
In 2025, Cecilie released her book Swindled Never After (Podium Publishing) and fronted the hit Netflix series Love Con Revenge. Both projects continue her mission to shine a light on the personal and societal costs of fraud, while giving victims their voices back.
