After an operational military career that led him to the highest posts in the French army. Vincent Desportes is moving towards higher education, strategic and international affairs.
In this context, he worked in the United States between 1998 and 2003 spending two years within the U.S. Army where he graduated from the War College.
He was Attaché at the Embassy of France in Washington. In France, he was appointed Defence Adviser of the Secretary General of National Defense before leading “Centre de doctrine d’emploi des forces” for three years where he was responsible for developing strategies and feedback from the Army.
From 2008 to 2010, he commanded the France War College and School training for future general officers. Vincent Desportes has also invested in the field of strategic thinking and leadership.
He has published numerous books on strategy and praxeology, multiple contributions to French and foreign journals, for more than 10 years is giving conferences on the topics of strategy and leadership around the world.
Director of the “Strategies and doctrines ” Economica collection since 1999, he is also Strategic Advisor of the President of IFRI, member of the Scientific Board of the Supreme Council of the training and strategic research. Associate Professor at Sciences Po Paris, he also teaching in several schools including HEC, and works with large companies.
