Two-time Olympic race walker and triple world record holder Tom Bosworth MBE is an acclaimed athlete including as Captain of England Athletics for the 2018 Commonwealth Games where he secured a silver medal. In 2015, Tom became the first openly gay track and field athlete representing TeamGB and has since campaigned for equality and inclusivity for the LGBT community. He is also a champion of mental well-being in sport following his own battle with depression.
Away from the track, Tom has appeared on broadcast channels such as Eurosport and the BBC, including as a guest commentator and has also featured as a guest on ITV’s the Celebrity Chase. In 2022, the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham marked Tom’s last international race appearance and he crossed the line to standing ovation from 27,000 people.
