Thomas Castaignede played 54 times for France between 1995 and 2007. The ‘Petit Prince’, as he was known, was a mercurial rugby player with vast talent and ability. His flair and often-bleached blonde hair made him highly recognisable.

When he joined Saracens in 2000 he already had a reputation as one of the most talented players in Europe if not the World. In his Five Nations Debut in 1995 he dropped a goal to beat England in the final minute to unveil himself on the world stage.

In France with the mighty Toulouse side, he helped his club win the Club Championship in 1994, 1995 and 1996 and was also a member of the side which won the inaugural European Cup. He then went on to be a star with Castres Olympique.

Since his retirement from the field, Castaignède has worked in the media, with punditry work on French and British television, and as a rugby union columnist for The Guardian. As a qualified engineers, Thomas has focused on a career in banking, bringing with him a strong sense of professionalism and teamwork.

Thomas has a warm personality and talks on winning, managing change and goal setting.
