Tevfik Altinok is the Chairman of Finance Club (Finans Kulup) (since 2006). He is also a Member of the Economic Consultants Board of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (since 2009) and the Deputy Chairman of Buyuk Kulup (Cerci’l Dorient) (Since 2010) He is a Member of TUSIAD – Economic and Financial Committee (Since 1989) and a board member of Mediterranean Research and Science University (2010).
He is a lecturer at several universities in Turkey, including Kadir Has (since 2003) Istanbul (since 2007), Galatasaray (since 2009), Beykent (since 2010), Istanbul Aydin (since 2011), Okan (Since 2012).
From 2005 to 2007, Tevfik was the Deputy Chairman – Truth Path Party (DYP) and President of Economic and Financial Affairs. Prior to this, he was the Consultant Adviser to the Chairman of Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding A.S. – Istanbul.
From 2000-2001, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of 16 Banks.
After graduating in 1964, he worked for the Ministry of Finance in Ankara for 16 years, during which he became the General Director of Treasury. He then became Chief Counsellor for Financial and Economic Affairs, at the Turkish Embassy in Washington. From 1982-1984, he was the Secretary General of Treasury and Organisation for the International Economic Cooperation, Ankara. He was also the Alternate Governor for International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Islamic Development Bank.
From 1984-1991, he was Executive Vice President, of KOC HOLDING A.S., Istanbul, and between 1994-2000, was a member of the Board of Directors of several KOC Group Companies.
