Biography

Sophie Scott isn’t your average psychotherapist – for one, she’s fully aware of the trappings of modern living. As an entrepreneur, she founded BALANCE Magazine, the UK’s award-winning wellness media brand, bringing mental and physical wellbeing to the masses. As the Editor-in-Chief for 6+ years, she championed innovation and accessibility across the industry, and was fortunate to work with A-list talent and spearhead partnerships with global brands. (Winner: Sophie Scott – Innovation in Publishing, PPA, 2018)

As an integrative psychotherapist, she has a thriving private practice in London, working predominantly with entrepreneurs, C-Suite and celebrities. Sophie is a steadfast advocate for psychoeducation, a former lecturer in human developmental theory (Highgate Counselling Centre) and loves running workshops for corporates, brands and MBA students. Previous clients include: L’Oreal, Accenture, Vestra LGT, Live Well London and Imperial College.

Sophie’s debut book YOU’RE NOT ALONE IN THIS: How to support your loved one’s mental health without losing your own (Watkins) is out January 2025.

“This is the first speaker where more has resonated since the talk, than during it. This felt more personal and has caused me to reflect more. I think we all (me) have a tendency to try and change too much in too short a time and expect immediate results. Maybe slow and steady really does win the race.”

“The session was by far the one that I could take the most away from. I really liked the ten different areas and the grading system and thought it might be quite interested to see our results as a team (to see if there was any cross over) and different tips that would help us improve in these areas individually.”

“Thanks so much for the amazing session, we all loved it. We got great feedback from the team wanting to do to more.”

“I wrote down tonnes of notes and some really useful tips. A great sesh, and extremely relevant. Thank you!”
