He is the author of 50 States of Mind: A Journey to Rediscover American Democracy, a critically acclaimed book chronicling his travels to all 50 U.S. states to speak with leaders, activists, and citizens about the nation’s political future.
He has been a keynote speaker at Lathrop GPM’s State of Litigation Conference, American Public Square, and The Carnegie Club at St. Andrews University in Scotland. Ryan’s writing and commentary have been featured in Newsweek, USA Today, The Kansas City Star, The Infatuation, The Fulcrum, and Oxford Political Review.
