In January 2016 Oliver Griffith retired as Head of Communications in Europe for the International Finance Corporation (IFC – World Bank Group).
Over six years he substantially raised IFC’s profile with European media, private sector associations, governments, donors, and civil society.
Before joining IFC in 2010, he was Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in France (2007-10), where he raised membership and revenues by almost 100% in three years, participated in over 100 media interviews, and organised dozens of conferences and seminars a year.
He started his international career as a U.S. diplomat (1985-2007), serving mostly as economic counselor at U.S. Embassies in Rwanda, the Central African Republic, Venezuela, Guatemala, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Germany and France.”
Oliver has moderated conferences in four languages all over Europe and at various diplomatic posts in Latin America. This includes high level events for the Commonwealth Business Council, the Crans Montana Forum, Euro Finance Week, German ministries, U.S. Embassies, the American Chamber of Commerce, the Global Economic Symposium and a number of other top conference organizers.
