Ndaba Mandela – Keynote Speaker

Ndaba Mandela is the grandson of Nelson Mandela and the Founder and Chairman of the Africa Rising Foundation.

Prior to founding the foundation, Mandela joined the Embassy of Japan in Pretoria working as a senior Political Consultant, focused mainly on South Africa. He then joined Investec, getting exposure to their asset management business before joining the business development area working as a client liaison officer. After a year, he left Investec to pursue his socio-economic development ambitions by dedicating time to his foundation Africa Rising. Africa Rising’s vision is to be a catalyst in creating a new breed of young Africans that will empower themselves to be at the forefront of their continent’s development.

Ndaba Mandela is passionate about the Mandela legacy and motivating young people to get involved in community development. He is passionate about Africa, its people and is concerned about its future. Although the continent faces many problems, there are many positive things that the global community does not know about Africa and Mandela wants to capture these and share them with the world.
