Melanie Freymond – Keynote Speaker

Mélanie Freymond was born in Lausanne from a swiss dad and a belgian mother.
She has always loved to travel, which has led her to become a flight attendant for Swissair. A good way to practice her four languages: french, her mother tongue, english, italian and german, and also to open up her mind.

She then studied media sociology, journalism and swiss and contemporaneous history at the Fribourg University.
At the same time, she started to work for RTS as a show host for the kid’s show « Les Zap ».
Mélanie Freymond has also presented the programs and hosted various games. Later on, she started to work for the private radio and TV channel Rouge FM/TV, where she did the morning show and was responsible for all the artists interviews. She hosted many shows live from the music and film festivals like Paléo, Montreux Jazz or Cannes Film Festival.

For RTS, Mélanie hosted Miss and Mister Switzerland several times, and big live entertainment shows like The Swiss Awards, Un Air de Famille or Alors on Danse, as well as she commented in french The Voice of Switzerland and Switzerland got talent. She also took part in Kampf der Orchester and Mini Beiz, Dini Beiz for SRF, in the german part of Switzerland.

These last years, she hosted “Le Meilleur pour la Fin” in prime time on Saturday nights and The Kids Voice Tour for RTS.
She also does a lot of hosting for private events for big brands (BMW, Audi, Ochsner, Postfinance, La Poste, Aldi, Swisscom, Bechtle …) or charities (WWF, World Vision, The Swiss Red Cross, …).

Two years ago, she went back to acting and acted in two big plays during summer 2018 and 2019. She’s currently working on a new theatrical production project due in fall 2020.
