Maria Hatzistefanis is a London-based entrepreneur, bestselling author and founder of the Rodial Group. A former beauty editor, she launched Rodial in 1999 after identifying a gap in the market for targeted products that deliver instant and long-lasting benefits. Rodial is now available worldwide in 35 countries and over 2,000 prestigious luxury department stores including Selfridges, Harrods, Neiman Marcus, Blue Mercury and SpaceNK. Rodial is famous for bestselling products such as Bee Venom and Dragons Blood, and the global cult-favourite Banana Lowlighter.
Maria made her debut as an author in 2017 with her bestselling book, How To Be An Overnight Success. Exploring her entrepreneurial journey to date, the book provides insights on how she went from being fired to building a multi-million global beauty empire. Maria has since published two more titles, How To Make It Happen and How To Live Your Best Life. Maria also hosts her top 20 iTunes podcast series, Overnight Success.
In 2022, Maria joined the cast of Dragons’ Den Greece for its inaugural season. Dragons’ Den is part of the Dragons Den/Shark Tank family that has been supporting entrepreneurs in 40 countries over the last 20 years. Using her 18 years of experience running her own beauty business, Maria is now expanding her portfolio and exploring investing in start-ups.
Maria is looking for entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and a drive to overcome obstacles to make it happen. Maria has returned for Season 2 of Dragons Den, currently airing. Maria currently sits on the board of the British Fashion and Beauty Council in the UK.
