Lukas Haitzmann is a three-time Guinness World Record-holding adventurer, engineer, and founder of multiple purpose-driven ventures. At 18 years old, he became the youngest person in history to row solo and unassisted across the Atlantic Ocean — a 3,000-mile journey that tested every limit of endurance, courage, and self-belief. Today, alongside his role as CEO of multiple businesses, Lukas uses the lessons learned at sea to help leaders and teams worldwide push past their quitting point, build resilience, and perform under pressure.
For 59 days, Lukas found his home to be a rowing boat amongst the aggressive onslaught of waves, some days reaching 40-foot. The closest other human? An astronaut on the International Space Station. But this wasn’t just a story of survival – it was a masterclass in resilience and stepping beyond self-imposed limits.
Lukas’ message is grounded in lived experience. Like most people, he faced moments early in life that led him to question his place in the world and whether he had what it takes to make a difference. What Lukas brings to his audience is the powerful shift from cautious hesitation to deliberate, forward-moving action. Whether in the working world or crossing an ocean, he learnt that resilience doesn’t take years to build; but is unlocked the moment you decide to take control. His talks offer a clear mental reset that helps teams and leaders think sharper, act faster, and stay composed in high-pressure situations.
After his row, Lukas graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering whilst founding a sustainability focused company tackling ocean pollution. Today, Lukas drives innovation on a range of high-tech ventures across Europe, while continuing to speak on global stages about high-performance mindset and resilience.
