Biography

Liv Boeree retired from professional poker soon after her breakout TED talk (3 lessons on decision-making from a poker champion) and is now focused on speaking, broadcasting/content creating, philanthropy and her popular podcast, Win-Win.

She has a passion for education especially when it comes to inspiring others with the rational thinking techniques she has learned through both poker and Effective Altruism.

Liv is committed to strategizing and creating a vision and action for a better world through science, technology, philanthropy, enhanced through drawing on the energy & expertise of a poker champion.

In December of 2024 Liv Boeree won a record $2.8 million at the WSOP in Bahamas, the first time back at the poker table since she stepped back from playing. With this she broke the record for the biggest-ever cash by a female poker player.
