Jenn Lim is the CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness, a company she and Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos.com) co-founded to inspire science-based happiness, passion and purpose at work, home and everyday life.
Jenn Lim has been a consultant at Zappos since it was founded in 2003 to the $2B business it is today. Since 2009, Zappos has been on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list and has been bought by Amazon in a deal valued at $1.2 billion on the day of closing. One of her creations, the Zappos Culture Book, has become a global symbol of how companies can use happiness as a business model to increase productivity and profitability.
In 2010, Jenn Lim led the launch of Delivering Happiness which has sold almost one million copies worldwide and hit #1 on bestsellers lists like the New York Times, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal.
After the book’s launch, organizations around the world wanted to learn how to bring profits, passion, and purpose to their company cultures but didn’t know how to start. Since then, Lim has shared her expertise as a thought leader in culture change using principles from the science of happiness, along with her 15+ years of culture experience from Zappos and DH to create profitable, sustainable cultures in organizations around the world
Jenn Lim has helped over 350 organizations and has devoted her career to cultivate meaningful happiness in companies, communities, and cities around the world. In 2017, Jenn was selected to be on the Global Happiness Council of Work and Wellbeing with the charter to scale the impact she’s made in even more sustainable ways. Jenn Lim’s new book called “Beyond Happiness” is due to be released in October, in this book she clearly and concretely shows the way the model works in a hyper-connected fast-paced world, beginning with each individual defining their sense of values and purpose (the ME), and rippling through the organization ecosystem (the WE and the COMMUNITY) in waves of impact.
