Ian Hawkins is Speaking and Storytelling Coach for Netflix.

On leaving university, Ian wrote for BBC Comedy shows including The News Quiz and Loose Ends before becoming an agent at a speaker bureau. During his five years in the job, he closed two of the company’s five biggest deals.

Ian has worked as a professional stand up comedian, appearing on both sides of the Atlantic and worked on films for BBC World, Reuters and CBS on locations including Nicaragua, Morocco, Sweden and the United States.

Today he coaches CEOs, Olympians and politicians on communication skills and moderates live events including London Tech Week, roundtable dinners and conferences across the UK and Europe.

Ian believes that being heard is a human right; that speaking in front of others is an act of leadership; and that everyone deserves support to improve their skills.
