Biography

Harun Tekin was born in 1977 in Ankara. After graduating from German High School, he graduated from Boğaziçi University, philosophy and psychology departments.

He has recorded eight studio albums and given hundreds of concerts since 1995 with his band, Mor ve Ötesi. Representing Turkey at Eurovision in 2008, the band’s İnönü concert on 28 May 2022 was recorded as the first solo stadium concert performed by a local rock band. A concert film of the same concert was released in January 2023 and was watched by thousands of people in many different cities of Turkey.

Between 2011 and 2013, he taught “Songwriting” at the Music Department of Bilgi University. Between March 2018 and March 2022, he was the vice president of the music professional association MSG. Tekin, who has been on the advisory board of Socrates magazine since its establishment, is also part of two separate teams managing Babajim Istanbul Studios and DasDas since 2016.
