She is an accomplished and skillful moderator, bringing her deep knowledge of global affairs, sharp interviewing style, inquisitive mind and engaging presence to the stage, steering thought-provoking and impactful debates on global issues for some of the world’s leading organizations.
Ghida Fakhry is Host and Executive Producer of TRT World’s flagship programs from Washington DC: Inside America with Ghida Fakhry and Bigger than Five. She is also the Moderator of the Doha Debates.
Ghida was Lead Anchor for Al Jazeera English in the network’s Americas broadcast center, presenting nightly live newscasts and later hosting the award-winning program Witness. She is known for her bold, incisive and candid sit-down interviews with prominent political leaders and policy-makers.
Over the last two decades, she has reported from conflict zones, including Iraq and Afghanistan, and has covered the United Nations extensively, traveling on special assignments with its Secretary-General.
As a Contributor to the Huffington Post, she has written about US foreign policy and international affairs. Her op-eds have been published in the Financial Times and the International Herald Tribune.

Ghida Fakhry holds two Masters’ degrees in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies, graduating with distinction from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
