Francois Duforez – Keynote Speaker

Dr François Duforez is a global expert on maximising individual performance and is best known as the founder of vielife. Founded in 1989, vielife provides health solutions for organisations to monitor and improve the health and well-being of their people. Francois has worked as a personal physician to athletes, and Formula 1 drivers. Since 2000, he has been a Consultant at the prestigious Hôtel-Dieu Sleep Center in Paris.

In 1985, during his medical career, Francois joined the French Army, as head of the CERMA (Centre of Research of Aerospatial Army), researching the performance of fighter pilots. Finding that fitness, sleep, nutrition and stress management are closely inter-related, he created a programme that would balance the factors to improve the overall performance. Within 12 months and whilst still serving in the army, François was appointed Consultant in Sports Medicine at the Hospital of Maisons-Laffitte.

After leaving the army, François founded vielife in 1989. Initially vielife operated as a research centre focusing on the performance of athletes, particularly Formula One drivers, with Francois working with the major formula one teams such as Ferrari in 1990 to 1991, Williams in 1993, Jordan Grand Prix from 1991 to 1996, Prost Grand Prix from 1997 to 2001 and the Jordan Grand Prix since 2002. vielife later expanded into the public sector and corporate market by providing healthcare solutions through research, consulting and coaching, transforming businesses around the world by helping them focus on the health of their people.

Francois is a regular speaker at conferences and a much invited guest on both radio and television. He is also a consultant to several large multinational companies including Philips (Business School ESSEC) and Thales Senior Management Programme. In addition, he has worked with future executives in the Canal Plus Junior Management Programme and the BMW Junior Management Programme.
