Anders Borg, Sweden’s Minister of Finance in the Coalition Government from 2006 – 2014 and named the EU’s top Minister of Finance in 2011 by the Financial Times newspaper, will share his experiences of the international financial system as well as the risks and opportunities that exist for entrepreneurs in the global economy .
His leading role during the 2008 financial crisis drew international attention and Sweden was highlighted as an economic-political example. Borg has worked in the financial sector with, among others, Citigroup, SEB and Alfred Berg. He has led the World Economic Forums, WEF and worked on the financial system.
In his work with Kinnevik, Viaplay and Checkin.com, Borg has broad experience from digitalisation, IoT and AI. Through the WEF, Asian Infrastructure Bank, AIIB and East Capital, Borg has followed developments in fast-growing emerging countries in Africa, Asia and Central and Eastern Europe. He also works with various partners in Fin-tech, shipping and telecommunications in Sweden and internationally.
