Alain Francq is the Director of Innovation and Technology at The Conference Board of Canada. In this role, Alain advances and implements the Innovation and Technology teams’ research agenda and takes an enterprise-wide approach to strategy implementation.
Alain is the primary subject matter expert and spokesperson for emerging trends and critical challenges that Canadian leaders face in the realms of innovation and technology. Alain Francq brings 25 years of experience in corporate and public sector roles to the Board, including senior positions in Canada’s innovation and technology ecosystem.
He has worked for several Canadian companies to introduce and scale innovations in chemistry, advanced materials and opto-electronics into new products and emerging markets. He has taught marketing at Wilfrid Laurier University and served on the boards of non-profit industry-academic organizations promoting research and emerging technology development.
Alain Francq holds a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and Bachelor of Science (Honours) from University of Waterloo.
