Matteo Rizzi Keynote Speaker

It is fair to say that Matteo Rizzi is an unconventional entrepreneur whose list of ventures, enterprises and achievements is extensive. He co-founded Innotribe (the innovation arm of SWIFT) and launched the Innotribe Startup Challenge, the first global deal flow of its kind. Furthermore, between 2013 to 2015, Matteo was a Partner in SBT Venture Capital, one of the first funds (100M USD) solely dedicated to FinTech investment (Series A), building a portfolio of 12 start-ups.
In 2015, Matteo created and co-founded FinTechStage.com, a platform for investors, innovators and start-ups to foster FinTech innovation globally, with some 50+ missions and events all over the world. Through this, Matteo founded the Timepledge.org initiative, a global program helping African entrepreneurs in several domains of their businesses, from product and strategy to channel management and investor pitching. Recently, Matteo took the position of Executive Producer of Breaking Banks Europe (a spin-off of Breaking Banks US), which is available on Soundcloud, iTunes, Spotify and Google Podcasts.

For three years in a row (2014-2016), Financial News has nominated Matteo as one of the “40 most influential FinTech executives in Europe”. He is also the author or The FinTech Revolution (EGEAN, 2016, ITA) and of Talents & Rebels (HOEPLI, 2019, ENG and ITA).

Matteo covers a broad range of speaking topic such as talent and rebels, dealing with FinTech startups and building eco-systems; the game of FinTech thrones. We are therefore very grateful that we got to ask him a few of our own questions to gain some insight in to the FinTech world..
